Suave Shahrukh crying for Kaveriamma was fake and repulsive. Needless to say that in a quintessential north-indian village where ganga mausi's and jamna chaachi's are the norm, Kaveriamma sounds extremely displaced and sticks out like a sour thumb.
The lead actress, apparently from some behanji (conservative girls' college) college in New Delhi, stuns the hero with basic arithmetic. But the audience frankly dont give a damn if the herione can multiply 19.2 x 56.7 to give the domestic calculators a run for its money.
The entertaining guys from Lagaan were wasted beyond consolation. Writer, Producer A.G is still reeling under the post-oscar fever effect. So much so that he replaced humor with ham, and story with empty emotions.
The main theme of the movie was buried somewhere or got cut mercilessly on the editing table. Generating electricity with a O Level understanding of physics cannot hold a candle infront of an action-filled Cricket anti-climax.
Even A R Rehman's music couldnt help the movie. ...tsk tsk..
